Went to eat zi char with my family and it was so amusing to see how despite all the grumbling about NS, ERP and everlasting monopoly of the PAP, everyone was celebrating Singapore in one way or another. The neighbourhood carparks were full and we could hear the parade commander shouting commands from TVs in flats everywhere. Haha... we watched the NDP on TV at the mall. But so sad, watched the news and it said that staff of supermarkets were giving out flags to encourage shoppers to stay back and say the pledge at 8:22pm, where's our flag Sheng Siong!! Hee.. anyway, happy national day everyone! Like what Isabel said during dinner yesterday, may it be because our roots are strong in Singapore that we can go out and excel in whatever we do overseas!
