Today was a fulfilling one: I spent it taking tours around NUS and NTU with Jo and K Luon.
Jo was dropping off an assignment at NUS and we were waiting for the lift at E1 when we noticed a stench coming from the lift door. We started joking about a dead body hidden in the lift shaft when Jo suddenly jumped backwards and pointed at a MAGGOT on the floor. Which led to the discovery of many MAGGOTS squirming around the lift entrance. Jo pointed out that her school is at the very least, terribly exciting, haha..
K Luon brought us around the halls and to his family-kampung-like hall which was really cosy and nice. Reminded me of those communities in China that live in rounded communal houses. There's a courtyard where you can call out to people and they can come out of their rooms and talk to you over the balconies. Really nice and it was such an interesting experience feeling lost in such a big school, or seeing places where you can buy groceries. It's like a small village or town where you can get everything and where you exchange news with the people you walk by. I would really love to experience that one day, although as Jo pointed out, different campus cultures leave you with different experiences that may be more relevant and important for your field of study.
Shall wait till graduate school then! :]
