April!

Rev Mark Conner's msg was really awesome..simple and powerful! He really carries the anointing! I think the most impactful thing he said was that spiritual disciplines are not used to gain favor with God. That's so true! Don't know how many times i have been mired by guilt because i didn't pray or read the bible and my spiritual walk has really been affected by that. It's alright to feel guilty, but the problem depends on the length of time we choose to remain so. It's actually a reflection of who we think God is. He already knows that we are sinful and the sins we are going to commit, but He has already provided ways for us to escape and remain in His grace! Learning to forgive yourself is the same as trusting that Jesus' blood has the redeeming power! :]

Wow, when Rev Mark shared about 'Solitude' as a spiritual discipline, i finally understood the blessing of being able to go to Canada every few years. The last trip especially really helped me to go up another level in my spiritual life. Thanks Dad and Mom for your sacrifices! :] I shall practice the discipline of Celebration more often!

Anyway, had a good time fellowshipping with the cellgroup. It's nice that especially after coming back from Canada, i feel that i can be myself more naturally around people. And i'm glad that i can enjoy this cellgroup! :] Realised that most of the time, it's not so much other people who won't get to know us or doesn't care about us but us who can't feel secure enough to be who we really are. It's natural then that no matter how hard you or they try, your relationship progresses very slowly or not at all as long as we do not let others get to know the real us. I understand now why Chuting and Mindy always told me and Joanne that it was hard for them to get to know us, because we always had this wall around us that we didn't even know was there. But upon reflection, i feel blessed that despite this, i still have people who are committed to me and who lay their lives down for me to help me grow!

Thanks Bobby, Chuting, Mindy, Jocelin, Mic, Sheila, Aileen and Joanne for being there when the going gets tough, for giving me strength and resolve to keep on track with God! You guys really help me hold onto my salvation and also help me learn what God's Love is really like. :]
