Oh God,
This dirt path that we walk on
Brings us through valleys
Up mountains
Across countless deserts
Past streams and rivers
Fields and meadows
As I walk along it,
bearing my cross
I know Your arm is across my back
sharing the load
The picture of You and Simon
on the road to Calvary

I remember one of the scenes that touched me most in Passion of the Christ was the walk to Calvary, when Simon was forced to carry Jesus' cross. And Jesus, bloodied and beaten, got up and bore the cross with him. What it was like for Simon, to look into the face of this man, Jesus.
